We envision a center of connection. Initially, we will create a template from one situation in the world; the story of residents of the city of Beirut and those of Haifa. We will collect stories from locals and network with the individuals living within the cities to understand their perspective on the recent violent outbreaks between Israel and Lebanon. After meeting with residents and helping them discover their stories, we will develop community brainstorms in the respective communities leading to a final question of “how do you want you and your children to be expressed to the world ten years from now?” With a brainstorm in place and the sharing of stories through the medium of media, we will maintain a constant flow of information from communities to us to other communities in a network promoting vision and future action. We will be able to utilize cutting edge PR techniques of photography, film, internet, and publication to present their stories to organizations, classrooms, churches, and synagogues. In the second phase of our project we will build a format that can be easily adapted to different global situations. Next we will focus on streamlining and recreating the template by affiliating with agents that are already in the field. After a year, we expect to have at least eight full time staff, four of which will be on the road, gathering and presenting, and three of which are producing media and maintaining established relationships. The final staffer will support our own group through fundraising.
